Myrick Announces Opening of Immigration Court

(Charlotte, NC) – US Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) today announced that she has received word that the immigration court in Charlotte will open on November 4, 2008.

 “This has been a long time coming,” said Rep. Myrick.  “An immigration court will speed up illegal alien deportations.  It will also help legal immigrants playing by the rules because they will no longer have to travel to Atlanta to deal with immigration matters.”

 The Court will be located at 5701 Executive Center Drive, which is off of Albemarle Road.

 It was announced in March 2007 that an immigration court would be coming to Charlotte, though it was originally slated to open in earlier this year.
