Today, David Robinson, 43, announced his candidacy for Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party.  David is the Chairman of the Wake County GOP and the Assistant Treasurer of the North Carolina GOP.  Robinson, a Republican activist and GOP supporter in Raleigh for many years said, “The Republican Party continues to present a platform that answers the pressing problems of the day, and I want to champion that message to the voters of North Carolina.”  He continued, “The NCGOP must communicate our story of better government on a daily basis, using every method of modern communication available – to reach every potential voter in the state.”

Robinson is uniquely

qualified to be Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party. 

 

GOP Offices/Positions Held:

·     Precinct Chairman

·     District Chairman

·     Fundraising Chairman

·     Candidate for Public Office Twice (both times facing incumbents whom no one else wanted to challenge – to make sure a conservative message was available to voters)

·     Assistant Treasurer of the NC GOP

·     Chairman of the Wake County Republican Party

·     President of the Capital Area Republican Club

·     Director of the North Carolina Taxpayers Association

Activism:

·     Work on Dozens of Campaigns

·     Contributions in the Tens of Thousands of Dollars to State and Local Candidates

·     Leadership of Wake County to a total of 4 (out of 5) Stars in the NC GOP Five Star Organization Program – the only county to receive even 3 stars to date

·     Spearheaded Wake County’s recent technology initiatives, including a new website and newsletter, new voter outreach programs, and a new online donation program

 Professional/Educational Experience:

·     A Fellow of the Institute of Political Leadership

·     A Graduate of Georgetown University, and the National Law Center of George Washington University

·     An attorney and small business owner

·     Pro Bono counsel to a number of church and other nonprofits

Personal:

·     Married to Sue Robinson for 20 years this August

·     Blessed with three daughters, ages 15, 12 and 10

·     Travel to over 40 countries and continues to be deeply appreciative of the Republic in which we live

·     Recognized for Church Leadership Roles and Activities and Disaster Relief Work, both church-based and on behalf of the North Carolina Red Cross

·     A Triathlete, having completed numerous races, including a marathon and a half Ironman

 

David Robinson believes that:

 

1.  The NC GOP should challenge government corruption and liberal agendas 24/7/365 –  EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR!

2.  The NC GOP should embrace every useful communication tool, including web groups and video, to reach and dialogue with voters.

3.  The NC GOP must raise awareness of its powerful message of good and responsible government – so that volunteers and donors will be motivated to get involved.

4.  The NC GOP must be a strong political ‘mouthpiece’ for the rights of the frail and unborn among us; the rights of taxpayers who work hard for their money; the rights of families with school-age children who hope and dream for their bright futures; the rights of business owners and entrepreneurs to follow their career dreams; and the rights of all North Carolinians to expect a responsive, constrained, effective government.
