The Union County Farm Bureau is sponsoring a Union County Republican Commissioners’ Candidate Forum at the Union County Ag Center, 3230 Presson Road in Monroe on Monday, March 22nd. The event starts at 6:30PM. The public is invited and a meal is provided.

At their March 23, 2010 meeting, Sweet Union Republican Women’s Club will host a Candidates Forum. Speakers will include Fern Shubert and Tommy Tucker for State Senate and Jeff Gerber and Craig Horn for State House. Each candidate will have 8 minutes to speak with a question and answer session to follow. Refreshments and chat start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7. The location is Waxhaw Women’s Club building, 200 E. South Main St. in Waxhaw, across from the footbridge.

The Union County Republican Men’s Club meeting will be held the third Saturday morning in March (March 20th) due to the Union County Republican Convention on March 13th. Our speakers will be various candidates for local races in Union County. We will meet at the Golden Corral in Monroe on HWY 74E in Monroe.
